House of Cake and Breakfast
Massive meringues and slabs of nougat cake at Costley & Costley's House of Burns in Kirkoswald, Scotland. They do an excellent breakfast - latte, wi-fi plus a full cooked plateful - for £6.95: highly recommended.

Condiment Con
Little Chef may not have much going for it but at least it serves a decent brand of ketchup
Shame on the otherwise quality cafe at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Just look at the difference in ingredients

Avoid a Wedgie
Are you looking after cyclists with racks that they will actually use for their expensive and easily damaged prized possession? The old wedge-your-front-wheel-in are no good at all.

Pride of Plymouth
I am a huge fan of the Town Mill Bakery in Lyme Regis and they now have an off shoot - the Royal William Bakery - in the Royal William Yard, Plymouth. Fabulous freshly-baked items in unpretentious surroundings.
How it works plus the wooden 'plates'
Bakery equipment and production is all on show
Bench seating is planks mounted on steel girders
Napkins=paper roll; butter in a big bowl; home-made peanut butter
