Pop Up Britain

Start Up businesses are being given one week's exposure in this pop up shop on Piccadilly.  Clever idea and of relevance to our sector with its talented street food entrepreneurs.  It's a culture shift - get trying new concepts via pop ups.  Who needs expense and leases to try out ideas?
See http://www.startupbritain.co/ with Luke Johnson, serial cafe owner, as one of the founders.

Blink and its Gone

Boulangerie Francois is a three day pop up cafe and bread store in Soho's Shaftesbury Avenue.
The bread is made from the same wheat as Grey Goose Vodka and all the items are free.
 Last day today!
Beautifully done with this trompe l'oeil bread oven door to rooms behind
and pots of pear, lemon and orange confiture containing 12% Grey Goose Vodka.
No wonder that only over 18s were being allowed in.

Pop Up at Fortnums

Fortnum & Mason have a pop up British Bakery cafe on their first floor.
Mark Hix's shortbread, garibaldi biscuits and more are on until 10th February.
The Torta Di Ricotta cake with warm chocolate sauce is proving a winner.
It sounds as if a fortnightly trip to Fortnums will be required until April.
