Greek Coffee
Coffee Island may just have opened one store in the UK - on Upper St Martin's Lane - but they have come far, fast. Started in 1999 in Greece they now have over 300 coffeeshops in Greece and Cyprus
Trademark Greek coffee is prepared in a copper Ibrik pot in a bed of very hot sand (to give an even heat) and is similar to Turkish/Arab coffee

Carpet Coffee
Costa say they recycle their old coffee sacks into carpet underlay plus their cups are made from sustainable wood pulp (small problem with the plastic film inside the cups which prevents their easy recycling but am sure they are working on it).

Cambridge Chill#2
Located next to Cambridge train station in a new development, the Ibis hotel has no traditional reception...the whole of the downstairs is a coffee shop - Chill#2 - with reception staff seated or standing in the coffee shop booking people in via Ipads.
The train times are visible from monitors in the coffee shop.
